If you want to taste the best chili in town—and support Alameda’s nonprofits that serve children, youth, and families—get your tickets to the Kiwanis Club’s [1] 23rd annual Chili Cookoff now, as the popular event is almost sold out.
The Chili Cookoff is set for Saturday, February 1, 5 to 9 p.m., at the DeWitt Officers Club, 641 West Redline Avenue, Alameda Point. The chili tasting will be followed by a silent auction of merchant- and member-donated baskets, a full-meat barbecue dinner and sides by Back Forty, live music, dancing, entertainment, and an auction/raffle for high ticket items.
The Chili Cook-Off is the Alameda Kiwanis Foundation’s major fundraiser for the year. All proceeds go to local nonprofits, funding community grants of more than $16,000 each year. For 2025, the Kiwanis Foundation hopes to raise at least $20,000 for Alameda nonprofits serving children, youth and families.
Admission to the 23rd Annual Chili Cookoff is $90 for adults, $40 for children ages 4-12. Beer and wine will be sold during the event. To purchase tickets, call 510-764-1472 or email [email protected] [3].
Major sponsors include Black Stallion Estate Winery, Edward Jones by Dominic McKenna, Faction Brewing, Poppy Bank, Eastside West Realty by Becky Cusack, Joe & Kathie Barker, and the Park Street Tavern.
