Alameda’s Parks and Their Neighborhoods
History Walking Tours, September, 2022
Join the Alameda Post and award-winning East Bay historian Dennis Evanosky for an exploration of three of Alameda’s parks in September. Dennis will not only talk about the history of three parks, but of the neighborhoods surrounding them. We’ll also explore the streets that surround the parks and enjoy architectural styles that run the gamut from Victorian-era to the very modern.
Each tour will cover 90–100 minutes over 1–2 miles and end at the meeting place. We suggest you wear comfortable shoes as well as sunblock, and bring water. Mobility devices, strollers (kids under 4 are FREE!), and well-behaved (or especially cute) dogs are always welcome.
